Can I Apply Ssd?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , You could contact your local Epilepsy Foundation & ask if they could recommend a disability attorney to help you apply for disability. My local Epilepsy Foundation had me contact a local Family law firm that has a disability attorney & after about 2 years, I was approved. Many get denied the first time but the attorney helps you apply again. If you don’t already, you might start keeping track of your seizures, like when you have them & also doctors you see & when & why. All I had to do was give my attorney the list of doctors I had seen & they did the rest of collecting whatever information it was they needed. Applying will include tons & tons of paperwork, just warning you. Good luck. Your friend in Texas, Becky
It depends on if you meet SSDI's requirements. Yes, you can fill out an application along with your neurologist.
You can try and apply for SSDI . But it’s the SSA that figures out if you Qualify for it. You have a better chance of applying for SSI.
You’ll just have to asked them if you qualify for it .
Several of us are on SSDI
