You Can’t Put This Into Words
In your dreams when something scares you, it’s so much more intense than being scared when you’re awake Right!?
That’s how my episodes feel now ridiculously unreal, It’s so frightening and disgusting I don’t know how to describe the feelings that come over me now I almost start crying and freaking out, I’ve never had anything so intense I can’t take this much longer

Support For Carers Of Epilepsy
My wife has sacrificed her career and life to look after me and monitor my seizures. It would be nice if the forum had an area where carers could share questions and worries.
I was a caregiver at at homes for the mentally challenged and some of them had epilepsy. Now I have it. I know it is NOT contagious but I can't believe it. The med that works for me is phenobarbital… read more
Is It Normal To Completely Forget Something The Day After Having A Gran Mal?
So, I was talking to this woman who I'm basically in a relationship with. I was completely certain that we'd never done a phone call and it had me concerned. She was certain that we had and wondered why I didn't remember. So, looking back in the recent calls on my phone, I saw that we'd done a phone call last month. But, I'd had 2 gran mals the day before that. So I was wondering why I'd completely forgotten about our phone call.
Yes it is and I have them a lot and I don’t like them

Has Anyone Had An Issue Using Apple Airpods?
Recently I have gotten into fitness and I purchased an Apple Watch and a set of Apple AirPods to use at the gym. As of this past Thursday, I was 5.5 months seizure free. On Thursday my Bluetooth AirPods came in the mail and from the second I popped them out of the box I was walking around my house enjoying my new toy! Only to find an hour(ish) later that I was awoken on the floor and my AirPods were tossed from my ears. My parents witnessed the aftermath of one seizure and moments later I had a… read more

Anyone Changed From Keppra To Brivaracetam?
Hi, I’ve just switched from Keppra to Brivaracetam. I couldn’t cope with the emotional side effects, all self directed keppra rage, self harm which is been clear from for nearly 20 years, suicidal ideation, it really wasn’t much fun. I’m only three days in to Brivaracetam but I already feel calmer. A bit dizzy and tired but I’m really hoping that’s going to pass once my body gets used to it.
Really just wanted to start a bit of a chat with other people who’ve switched. It’s such a new drug… read more

Did You Hear About Pinpoint Treatment Delivery Developed At MIT For Neurological Disorders?
This is a clip from an article in today's Boston Herald: "Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created a miniature needle as thin as a strand of hair that can deliver medicine to specific areas of the brain and provide better treatment options to people with neurological conditions like epilepsy and schizophrenia.
“The whole idea here is that instead of treating the entire brain, you can treat small portions of the brain,” MIT engineering professor Michael Cima said. “Right… read more
