Are You Skilled In The Use Of ZOOM, Skype, Google Meet, Or Any Of The Other Meeting Sites/apps That Offer Free Meeting Options?
We are looking into allowing expanded options for conversations (live free meetings) with friends on this support site. However, we need more friends who are comfortable with the various meeting sites and their apps. We not only are looking for hosts in the range of time zones of the Earth that we have friends scattered in but also people who are skilled in explaining how to get on to the meetings and use of the features to the friends on here are non-techies.
The idea is to allow live… read more

What Subjects Would You Like To Discuss Related To Epilepsy And All That Comes With It In Virtual Meetings?
Some of us have been discussing (and even had a few) having ZOOM, Skype, WebEx, Microsoft Team, etc. meetings with friends and potential news friends on this site to discuss a specific subject at each meeting. And we will post the recording of the meeting in a Q + A or something similar (still waiting for response from the creators of this site for how best to do this) so that anyone who cannot make it to the particular virtual meeting can at least see/hear the virtual discussion and then (if… read more

Video EEG Results
Hi, I am scheduled for a video EEG at the end of March. I wish it wasn't so far out because it's causing me some anxiety. What could the results be, and what will they do after that? Adjust meds, recommended surgical procedure or surgery? For those that had it, what did they determine and what happened next? Thank you.
Hopefully, if you do not already know, it will let you know if you have any nocturnal seizures along with verification of the types of any of the witnessed seizures you have had. And provide your… read more
Does Anyone Laugh In Your Sleep?
I've been reading that it's not uncommon and usually harmless but can be related to sleep disorders. I haven't found epilepsy mentioned but I know some sleep disorders can lead to seizures.
I asked my wife if I laugh in my sleep. I knew I talked in my sleep. My wife said that once in awhile, I would make a little giggle.
Does Anyone Have Nocturnal Seizures In Their REM Sleep?
98% of my seizures happen during my REM sleep usually after 3am or later in the morning. I'm pretty much on a two week cycle. I have been on numerous AEDs and nothing seems to break the cycle. Was wondering if anyone has these types of seizures and have they found a treatment that has help reduce these type of seizure activity?
I was told I needed more sleep because the REM cycle being skipped during my night seizures.
Looking At Epilepsy In A Positive Way?
I have to do a paper for school and I have to choose a personal topic that is important to me. There's a part of me that is tempted to write on how epilepsy has changed me for the better. But I'm curious does anyone else feel like epilepsy has enriched their life? Or given them nuggets of personality that makes them better? Or at all feel like epilepsy has helped them in some sort of way? If so I would love to hear about it.
Don't get me wrong epilepsy itself is obnoxious, and hard to deal… read more

Developing Migraines Because Of Seizures
Has anyone who was diagnosed later on in life with epilepsy had migraines that started at the same time. I never had a migraine in my life and since my first seizure I’ve had constant migraines which are mostly under control with propranolol but any change in dosage and I’m crippled with migraines for days.
Has anyone else been in this situation?
I had brain surgery in 1995 which has brought on the chronic migraines to take place. Usually they don't always act out unless it's barometric issues (weather changes) but if I do go into a seizure… read more
