Does Anyone With A VNS Ever Experience An Electrical Sensation Through Their Left Shoulder And/or Arm?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Monroe, LA

Sometimes when I turn my head to the left I can feel vibration in the wire up to my neck where it is connected to the Vagus Nerve. It happens when the battery is not sending a pulse. I also get an electrical sensation in my left shoulder sometimes that can lead down my left arm. It is not painful though.

Mine has decreased the amount of seizures and also the seizure time. However when I have to activate it, right before the seizure, it is painful to me.

It reduced the number of seizures I have. I went from having 3-4 a day to 3-4 a week. They have increased some though because the battery is getting weak, so I have to get it replaced, which should be some time next week.
