Medications And Weight
I just wanted to ask if not only epilepsy medications but all types of medications can cause weight gain or can give a hard time in losing weight? The reason for my asking is because I've been doing my very best in maintaining my weight, not only by exercising every day but also dieting and watching what I eat. I tried everything but my weight seems to stay steady at around 193. If anyone has the answer I would appreciate it.
you are lucky since leaving the navy and going on meds I have gone from my 115 lb
to 344lb at this time it has been a slow gain and it is my meds. I have tried diet
as well as # weight watchers and for every pound I lose I gain 2 back
I had trouble maintaining a healthy weight too. For me it was the medication. My doctor took a chance and switched my sezuire medication. The med I'm currently on doesn't have as much side effects as others do. So I've been able to loose weight knowing what I now know. Certain sezuire meds can also effect your metabolism. Which affects your weight.
I found working out help decrease my seizures but I can not go to sleep right away Or I will have a seizure I have to wait 2hours . I usually work out early in the morning about 8 am
The best way to find out is look up each medication and it's side effects.
Some medications may give you a hard with your weight.. and it also depends on the type of medications you are taking... what kind of medications are you taking?
