First it's taken for high blood pressure. It is shown to help alleviate nightmares (PTSD). As the side effects one of them is Your eye sight. Please check into this one first!!!

I take Prazosin 1mg for my nightmares. I was abused in childhood and the medication stops me from dreaming completely.

Hi Patricia, very true i saw it is for high blood pressure. Well after going 4 days with about 6 hours of sleep combined for all those days amidst taking all types, styles, versions, flavors of sleeping pills with no help, my doctor put me on prozasin. Took one capsule first night, fell asleep in 2 hours. One capsule next night, fell asleep in 4 hours. Upped the dose to 2 capsules the next night and 6 hours later, no sleep😡. Ugh.....if it's going to mess with my eyesight (i didnt know that), well i guess that's another pill heading to the trash can.

The best thing I've found for sleep that doesn't mess w/ anything is m/j, yet i'm still trying to get it prescribed to me.
