Covid And Appointments

I was due to have my 8 monthly check up with the neuro at the beginning.of April I had a text to say it would be a phone consultation This was so much easier than the usual face to face which usually involves m husband having to do a 30 miles round trip with me ,park miles away from the hospital climb 4 flights of stairs ( don't like lifts ) I have ' complex epilepsy' & I'm got much more from the phone consultation Anyone else found these phone consultations useful ?

I had a phone consultation/appointment with my epilepsy doctor last week, and also found it much easier. She called me ON TIME, so there was no waiting in the waiting room, meeting with the nurse, and then waiting for her to come in. I was able to get questions answered and my Keppra dosage lowered. Overall, it was much better.

I feel during the duration of confinement that the consultation is good by phone until the restrictions are lifted for personal contact with outside persons. If you are going to be in contact with anyone from the medical staff they mask you to reschedule at a later time to assist you in your health aspects. Ask for another day that not very many people are there to cut down on exposure to others around you.

I did a phone consultation just the other day with my neurologist I am seeing for migraines.

It was so much easier than driving 45 minutes there and back and we covered everything during the call.

The only hassle with such consults would be if you had to have a new script written out for you. Other than that enjoy being able to speak to your neurologist from the comfort of your own home ☺️

I found them useful I have had quite a few appointments via phone. I am lucky I did my Neurologist appointment before all this started. But if this last as long as they say my next neurologist appointment will be over the phone.

My doctor is doing phone consultations, but I only see the Neuro in August, then an MRI in September. Am sure all will be okay by then; I hope so!
