Menopause
One for ladies who are perimenopausal or have past menopause.Has anyone found their seizures have increased in frequency ( especially partials) post menopause ?
Absolutely,b4 u knew u would have one atleast 0nce a month.now with ur hormones going wacky it can be any time.still worse that time of the month but yes unfortunately .
Nicole: as you are growing up they changes your meds due to your body is always changing. Now that you are adult i been on my same meds for a lonng time.
To me they have decreased but I accidentally don't know if it was the menopause, which I just started not do long ago or if it's that I finally started getting a medication for depression, or loss of hair, because in the past I would get lot's of seizures just letting my hair grow because I do have alot of hair and very thick hair . And I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers šššš
I certainly think that hormones have something to do with it. I had a seizure when I was 3 and then not again until I was 52. I was definitely
peri menopausal by then. Periods had started to become a little irregular. Some night sweats. But it wasn't until the last 2 months that I stopped getting it. Hoping it is done. But who knows. It was also a very stressful time and I was drinking caffeine back then.
Iām going through peri menopause all I know is my hormones are shot to pieces and all over the place and my periods are so irregular my seizures might have increased a bit x x
