My new normal has actually changed. Avoid stress, take meds, get a strong network (family or friends) to support.
I always keep my phone on me in case I faint. I have temporal lobe epilepsy so I faint. I’ve learned to not walk down my front steps when I first wake up. Not being in the sun too long and not drinking alcohol helps me a lot. I also need 7 hours sleep to help feel okay the next day. Avoiding stress any way I can also helps a little. I’m

-drink
-smoke
- dwell on stress /over think on things
- relaxing doing things that keep me calm. I walk about my area looking at the neighborhood and the sites. especially around autumn and the beginning of spring because the area of the Bronx I'm in has a variety of trees, flowers and greenery. It's so soothing to see it everywhere while strolling along.
Learned to relax forget about other people's problems think about yourself I love my music and porter around house cleaning keeping to myself I find I've done a lot better I'm also off drink 5 years now

-Good Sleep
-No alcohol
-Reduced stress
-Stay away from extreme weather else protect oneself from the weather.
It’s has helped me a lot in coping up with epilepsy.
