Xcopri Medicine
Anyone who is taking xcopri, i’d like to know your dose and experience on this medicine please.
I’ve been on 300mg for 9 months along with lacosamide. It has halved my seizures (complex-partial) but they are more intense when I have them. The medication is strong and I fall asleep within an hour or so of taking them. I’m like an old granny nodding off in my chair most evenings! It is a trade-off just like any other medication.
I do think from my experience it's a drug that takes longer to adjust to. I've had all those side effects along the way but gradually adjusted as it got higher. 200mg isn't doing anything at the moment for me I was on 250mg however had to come back down a bit as the side effects are a bit too much to tolerate. Still got side effects on 200mg but hoping they will ease over Time and I will be able to up it again soon. Hopefully you will adjust well and it will work for you. Unfortunately a lot of these things are just trial and error and seem to take forever in the process!
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I hear of this often. But it's one of the only medications that I've never been on. Now I'm interested in asking my Neurologist about it..
Darn it, it seems to be a working med for alot of people but the side effects abit much: spinning, blurred vision and more that i already forgot cause of my bad memory. For me so far is fatigue n bad vision and thats me only on 25mg. Havent experionced any dizziness yet.
