Most Medication
Hello!
Everyone in the group is on medication. It is most welcome at home. Outside of the home in an emergency situation, do you have medications available to take that will work for a short time to prevent a seizure before emergency help arrives? How do you take them?
Seizure Recovery medication, like Ativan ,Lorazepam and other brands. will help slow down to stopping the seizure(s) for awhile . Or until the person can take their next dose of AED medication.
I also take Rivotril (clonazepam) tablet.
And so until taking the next dose of medicine for the day. I have shared how I do it and it starts working in 10-15 minutes.
I have never taken Rescue Medications because most of the time when i was having a seizure i wasn't aware of what was going on.
I have a VNS that ive had for about 18 years. I carry a magnet with me everywhere i go. The only problem is is that i sometime dont have time to get to it if my auora is not long enough or if i have a focal seizure and just space out and lose time.. but they do have new rescue meds now called diastate that can be given nasel now instead of anal but it is still valum and it will make you sleepy and inwould not want to be out in public while given that. If i have an auora, i stay home. Period.
Hey Goro, yes there is a nasal spray that will stop seizure
