It could very well be that your hormones are still raging and your body still remembers that time of month. I get migraine headaches around the same time of my periods😣

There are the basic triggers like,
1. Lack of sleep
2 for getting to take meds on schedule
3 Alcohol
4 Stress and Anxiety
Those are just a few of the basics.

But it sounds like you’re more in the same boat as I . I had Epilepsy almost my whole life. I’ve been on many different brand names/generic meds . Non were able to control my seizures 100%. I never got their full potential..I had about 30 seizures a month.. if I was having cluster seizures, I would use My seizure recovery medication.

My Epileptologist told me ,it’s called Refractory Epilepsy ( meds don’t work 100% ).. In Aug. 2023 , I had my DBS implant/surgery . It reduced my seizures by half . So I still have seizures, but not as many.

With women seizures can get triggered by monthly hormones, like PMS .

Since I can’t drive (and really don’t miss it) I don’t think I would try having any surgery if it only worked part time. Good luck with yours 🍀
