Having Our Conditions We Have , Have You Noticed A Amount Of Time You Had A Gap Between You Not Having A Seizure And Tried To Figure Out Why

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

It's happened to me a few times now and then and briefly wondered how that was and tried to track what I did or what the cause of it was, that helps I think, the longest est time I think I went without a seizure was a little over 2 weeks, that is the ones I know I have had, not counting the ones I am not sure of happened and did, what are your thoughts on this? How do you see it your opinion? Just curious!

I’ve had a gap between seizure that lasted upto 3 months and 2 days. Never seems to fail having a seizure after that. That’s the longest I’ve gone w/o a seizure. Still trying to figure out how I can make it last longer. Just when I think I can drive again, the stupid seizures come back. Maybe if I don’t get excited about driving again, it might last longer. (🙏Hears to Hoping)

I had one yesterday. That was a ten day streak without one. I’m on a weekly basis or two a week. Sometimes I know it’s bcse of stress and sometimes infection. But sometimes they just happen for no reason. I don’t mind the ones that I can just sit for a while and then go about my day . I do not like to be out for the count for the rest of the day. That screws up that day and the rest of the week .

Like many here, I live my life just as if I didn't have epilepsy, or as @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member said, "normal" people. I'd normally do 2-3 yrs w/o a seizure. The times I'd breakthrough would be because of extreme stress, similar to what I'm currently going through, so I've had several over the last few months. I get frustrated, but there are too many who have it worse than I.
When it's been a medication issue, it's been hard to pin it to that unless you're made aware that you've had a seizure, at which point you track back to find the issue.

Anytime we realize that I hadn’t had a seizure for a while I’ll have one in one of the following days

I can go several years without a seizure, but my last two were only 6 months apart. I am beginning to think stress is more of a problem than I thought.
