Headaches/Migrains
To anyone who regularly gets headaches do you take anything for them or do you just let it run its course until it's gone away?
The main reason I bring this up is, normally I would just take paracetamol for it and it is gone away but it still lasts 6 hrs+.
So my point is how would you work out the base time for these headaches if you were to just let them run their course until they go away?
I had horrible headaches but would be so tired I slept them off
I take excederins i try not to take any prescribed medication for my headaches
Migraine headaches are horrible. When I get one I take my Migraine pill so hopefully it will go away. Sometimes the medication works and sometimes I have pain for hours and I can't do anything except to lay down on my left side where the pain is.
I can't take Ibuprofen - allergy. What I do instead is will take 500 milligram of Tylenol. The pain management specialist has given me a very good step to follow with Tylenol as I experience chronic migraines due to brain surgery in 1995.
I was given the guidance to take no more than 2000 milligrams of Tylenol as it is the daily dose. How I take it is 500 every six hours as needed and should I need to repeat this dose a second time will sit in a dark room with placing ice onto my left temple. Should I ever reach the six hour mark of needing to repeat the dose a third time I will take the emergency migraine medication of Migranal.
It is rare the chronic migraines will become that extreme but I do my very best to avoid the 1500 milligram amount Tylenol in my system as I just don't like the idea. Usually reach out to doctor's office by email just to let them know what's going on since I rarely take pain medication.
Good morning I took have migraine headaches that last quite a while I had a skull fracture as well I take amlodipine
