The Headache That Hit Me Yesterday Afternoon Was Awful. I Got To The Point That Tylenol. Wouldn’t Even Touch It.

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hayes, VA

nothing I did yesterday worked. I ended up laying down around 840 last night. First time I woke up was around 10:30 at the time was thinking it was almost close to midnight or after midnight and I had only been asleep barely 2 hours. Felt a little of the side effects this morning still, I can’t for the life of me figure out what caused this. All I know is it started in the area where my VP shunt is hung on for quite a while.

Yes, definitely let them know about the headache by the shunt! We care. Let us know.

See your neurologist as soon as possible and be prepared to give all the details of this event. I imagine you were pretty scared about the pain. Take care Quinn. We're all here to support you. I hope you'll follow up and tell us what you learned from your doctor.

I agree JolF about contacting your doc. Also do you know if you had a seizure or not before this started? Also does any of your meds have a side effect of causing pain. If not sure you can find out typing in either the search area or Google " What are side effects of ,here put name of med" it will then give you a list of the side effects and a descriptive definition of what it means. I wish you the best you take care!

Quinn,
Sounds like a migraine. But you said it “started in the area where my VP shunt is hung on for quite a while.” I know nothing about VP shunts. But maybe something moved? I would call your neurosurgeon and your neurologist.
Hope you feel better 🤗
