Does Tooth Extraction Trigger Seizures?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ
Palm Springs, CA

I have an infected tooth that is getting pulled out next Thursday. The pain has me in constant auras now. Has anyone had any complications during a tooth extraction that I should be prepared for?
Thanks, Cat๐Ÿ’œ

It's possible but if everything is managed well then you should be fine. I go to the dentist alot and don't have any issues.

I had half of my teeth pulled. I even had an old-fashioned dentist pull them out. It never bothered me.

Let the people know that you have epilepsy/seizure disorder. Donโ€™t take the risk if you feel a seizure warning .
