Hey Beautiful And Handsome Group!! Has Anyone Ever Taken A Medication Called "Xcopri"?
Its a 12.5-25 MG Titration PK. Im scard to take it being that every med I've been given made me have seizures. Did work for any of you?
Yes, I'm taking XCopri 250mg at bedtime for over a year. That's the highest dose I can tolerate without ANY side effects. At 300mg, I was very dizzy and unstable with balance / walking. I seem to have better seizure control with XCopri. I'm not seizure free, but was able to eliminate Vimpat and Acetazolamide. I now take XCopri with Oxcarbazepine & Briviact, plus a salt tablet 30gm due to hyponatremia from seizure meds & recently told by my epileptologist to take vitamin B6 (50mg) supplement. I have been taking vitamin D3 supplement (vit D deficiency due to seizure meds) and a multivitamin. There's not enough B6 in multivitamin. From Oct - Dec 2023 I had 4 stress induced seizures (3 focal impaired awareness & 1 focal impaired awareness atonic), but none since 12/29. If all is good, my doctor will keep this regimen. If not, he suggested Fycompa, but that's to be determined at my next visit.
Yes, I've been on it for at least a year now.
Yes, I started back in September taking a titration pack and would increase the dosage every 2 weeks and my neurologist decided to have me stay on 100mg of Xcopri. I went 3 months without a seizure. My last appointment he increased my medication to 150mg. It's just hard with the side effects of this medication but I can't complain before I was approved for this medicine I was having up to 4 seizures in a month.
Yes my husband has just started this medication 2 and weeks ago.and so far it seems like it is helping him not have so many
My Neurologist said I did take it at one time, but it did not work. I had been on all known AED meds in my early 20s. I did a lot of tests, and was eligible for the Temporal Lobectomy. It did not end my seizures. However, it did stop other "Mirror Seizures" on the Left side. That is very good, because that is my Dominant side
