I lost my memory as soon as I started having seizures when I was only 10 years old.

Meds may have an effect. My memory has simply been disabled since I started with 100mg of Tegretol 30 years ago. And ANY pills I’ve tried since. But I can remember the ‘80s like they were yesterday. All epileptics are different. You may want to talk to your doctor or ask more to find other epileptics with similar conditions and medications.

mantle is right, the brain wears down with age, you get damage from seizures especially TC seizures. and seizures meds can also affect your memory.

Probably all three

I feel your pain. My seizures started at 21 and I suddenly couldn't remember names of new people in my life. I would know them, see them every day. Then maybe six weeks later, I would say their name and remember them. That still happens.
