I don't do the counting of the actual calories anymore. I have changed the plates that I use and the foods that I eat. I have taken away my soda. I have not had soda more than once a month in many, many years. There are many other changes too. I have lost over a hundred pounds. I will soon pass 140 lbs off. I added more exercise and made better choices in what I do with my time. The other major change was my brain surgery. This August will be ten years seizure-free. I am making changes. This fall begins my journey to my Masters degree. Again, another impossible thing but I am going to do this too.

Always eaten a healthy Mediterranean diet, no need to count calories as long as your portion control is in check. My Mother is Greek so from a baby I didn't know any other way. When I was married to an Italian I cooked all the heavy meaty, cheesy, gooey, dishes for him but I still stuck with what I was taught. My Grandparents were married for 78 years and lived into their 100’s. I would say that they were doing something right!
