Deja Vu, I've Been Through It A Few Times In My Condition, What Do You Think About It And Does It Seem To Be A Part Of Your Condition ?

I've had it happen once In a while, but I am curious if it plays a part of the condition I have with my life with, I don't think that much about it but sometimes ask myself that? Briefly, what do you think about it?

Epilepsy's a condition that causes seizures of brain activity. If we didn't know bout the cause of this then we'd be terrified. Keep in mind during one the crazy feeling will pass, meds will keep this in control then we're okay after. Relax by knowing more bout affects of seizures. Look at all the geniuses through history with seizures before epilepsy could be explained. Meds are great for all types to counter any fears bout now too. Like diabetes no cure but can help the symptoms. Please relax mind to help self cope with epilepsy the best way ever in history

Yes. I haven't had it for a while, but I was getting it before my meds changed. It's classed as a Focal aware seizure if you have TLE.

I've had deja vu since my young teen years. So it started after they said I out grew my petite mal without checking if I had. I knew after a while I had it still after being off the meds but I was a very rebellious teen right off the bat. Only at home and to my parents though. From the time I got diagnosed at 5 on nothing was expected of me because I had epilepsy. I was the dumb one with 3 straight a siblings. I don't know how many times I heard you need to marry a doctor or lawyer to take care of you since you can't take care of yourself. But I went out on my own in elementary school and joined the community softball league. Luckily the coach had a lefty glove I could use. He drove me with his family or sometimes one of the other parents did to away games. In 7th grade I started babysitting and was in high demand. I had a lunch job that was right next to my Jr high and I would meet their little girl there and make her sandwich and entertain her and she always gave me a piano lesson. Then back to school we went. In Canada we got an hour for lunch to go home and eat. I bought myself a really nice mitt that year still playing softball. I also by the end of summer bought a 10 speed bike since my parents refused. But I got it on end of summer sale and it was a great bike. Going up and down all the hills around our nieghbourhood. I played ice hockey on the first girls team they had there. And we played against teams all across town. I lived across the street from the community center. We won the city championship that year. I was goalie. But according to my parents I couldn't take care of myself. I told them what I was doing asked to come to games they never came to even one. But I had deja vu all those years I also had absence seizures still but never told them since I thought they'd send me off to some institution. But I can say I had a good time growing up because of my friends and their parents.

Before my first seizure and starting medications, I had deja vu very frequently, 2-3 times weekly. After starting my medication I now only have episodes every 1-2 months.
