Even on a good day, I need to at least lay down with a book if not taking a nap, because of the meds. And like you @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, it is usually the same time of day.
I have days when I can do chores, errands, etc., and others when it is hard to get anything done. Then there are days like yesterday and today, when I spend it all lying on the couch, napping several times. I can attribute this time to a seizure I had Tuesday night, that took me through today to recover from.
Sometimes, the weather triggers me, making me feel tired and lethargic (too hot, too humid, heavy rains). I will feel "off", so I take it as a down day, so I can avoid seizures. Some days my medication affects me more than others, upsetting my stomach, or making me more tired. Getting overstimulated will also make me feel "off" or have the intense need to nap immediately.
I have changed meds in the past due to being over-tired and brain fog. After trying many different ones, Gabapentin and Amitriptyline work the best, with the least side effects for me (but that is different for everyone).
