I was born with a brain AVM. It bled in 1989 then ruptured and bled in 2017. Drs told me that it was too big to be removed. So they just watched it. I had regular MRIs I think yearly, sometimes 2x a year when I got older. Then when it ruptured in 2017 there was no choice but to remove it. Turns out it was even bigger than they had thought. I had a 20 hour surgery and the AVM is gone. The drs that operated said it should have been removed much earlier . So any one reading this that has a brain AVM please get a second opinion .

Yes, some people with epilepsy can have masses or malformations in their brains that cause seizures. These can include things like benign tumors, cavernous malformations (cavernomas), arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), focal cortical dysplasia, and more. The specifics of your case with 3 cavernous malformations would need to be reviewed by your doctor. In general though, treatment options can include medication, surgery, or sometimes just monitoring the malformations if they are not causing major issues.
