As For Bringing Up Your Condition And Letting People Know About It, Has The Person You Asked Brought Up Their Condition If They Have One?

I don't mind talking about my condition of epilepsy I have at my call, but I am curious about this, because I don't have anything against anyone else who has a similar condition I have or a disease or illness disability and such etc, but I may have had that happen to me with whomever was talking to brought up their condition at hand and decided to let the person know about mine, i don't seem to mind and doesn't bother me, but what are your thoughts about this ❓

Working as EEG Tech. , I tell them what I have done. People ask questions, love listening and sharing. We always ha generally a great conversation when I say I have a seizure disorder! We talk a long time!

Happy Birthday to you @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member! I notice this on a fairly regular basis since I've been in recovery. Not just people talking about their addiction, but once we're able to accept and admit our addiction it makes everything else less of a big deal. And certainly easier to open up or talk about with anyone.

Working as a Neurodiagnostic Technician, I started to learn more about things , I was not taught in school about all human diseases and psychological issues. I learned by doing , working at a university , I always prayed for each patient , I worked with. There is an infinite amount of information to learn and be aware of and be courteous to the patient with, too. In a learning University you are teaching others and yourself. The patient is the most important. I have met a lot of friends that had health challenges . We all were supporting each other and patients!

When I was a part of the Disability Group after the ADA was passed, we all disclosed. I have not run into anyone who said they had a Condition to disclose. It has not happened yet.
