this is weird. a couple yrs after being on 400mg Dilantin a day the neuro upped it to 500mg a day. after a couple weeks every time I took a dose (am, noon, pm) I would gradually lose my voice. couldn't make a sound for about an hr. than my voice would gradually return, took me a couple days to figure out the extra 100mg of Dilantin was the only thing I was doing different so I went back to 400mg/day. after a handful of days I stopped losing my voice. my neuro said it wasn't possible, I've been on Dilantin (400mg/day) ever since without any voice problems.
