Emergency Rescue Meds

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have “emergency rescue meds”:that they don’t get to in time? I must’ve felt a seizure coming on yesterday, I took one out of the package. saw it on the table later.

I just found out that you can use the rescue meds at the start of a seizure. I thought you could only use them if the seizure has gone on for five minutes or longer. :(

I have never heard of emergency rescue meds before.

I did have them at one point a very long time ago but I haven't needed them since I just use the meds. The only time they have been used recently if after a TC seizure during the post ictal phase to prevent the seizure from happening again.

Dave7,
I went to 8 years of Parochial school then 4 years of Catholic High School. I could have gone to St. John University but My Parents weren’t paying for college so it was just Suffolk County College for 1 year.
