this is my devence... yes, the 'lobe' is your brain but my frontial lobe has many uses (speech, motor, talking, ect). that and when i was diegnoed, thay called it a partial seizures.

Does Anyone Else Here Feel Like The Worst Part Of Their Epilepsy Is Not The Seizures, But The Meds??
Of course we need our meds but the effects of them over time, or having to switch meds due to side effects in my opinion can be hard on the body physically and on the brain cognitively. In my opinion this can be more stressful than having seizures.
I have had trouble sleeping since starting meds. I’ve started taking melatonin and I think it helps. I take a low dose.

I certainly did not know this until a few minutes ago --when I was researching what international medical committee decides why the label of "mental illness" is used rather than "mental disability" for those that are not labeled as mental disorders (and I did not even know that the mental disorders were not listed as a sub-group of the overall group known as mental illness rather than being in a separate category.

So Is Epilepsy A Disability Or Not?
This is a general question of public opinion. I myself always assumed it was, but apparently it's not at least according to Social Security in Indiana that is. I finally decided to apply b/c someone else I know receives disability do to having seizures which started after an aneurysm they also happen to work as well. So I decided to give it a try and was denied b/c epilepsy was not a disability that would stop me from working. So opinions do you agree or disagree on Epilepsy being a disability?
