Has anyone taken Depakote? If so, did you experience any side effects?
It helped my son if wasn't for depkote he won't do things he loves doing what he wants to do it really helped him he really happy active 5 year old

I've taken some medication that I had some side-effects like feeling very tired all the time. I've also had alot of depression when I was growing up with seizures and sometimes today I get depressed.
Has Anyone Had Their Seizures Controlled Completely By Medicine And That Change?
I am aware that skipping pills could lead to seizures.I am on Vimpat and it has worked great but skipping pills could lead to grand mal seizures. I had a grand mal seizure about a month ago due to not taking my medicine correctly. I've been taking my medicine just fine recently but starting to have petit mal seizures (staring for 10/20 seconds). Can medicine just stop working? can epilepsy continue to get worse?
I'm taking 500mg of Dilantin (Phenytoin) daily. Been seizure free for about 25 years.
Does Anyone Know Why Depakote Levels Would Be Low If Taking Double The Normal Dose?
My son is taking double the normal dose of depakote since Feb. 29 and normal dose of lamactal. His lab came back in the 40s! I was expecting it to be at the toxic level! He is having severe shakiness, moodiness, fatigue, and sleeping alot. But how could it possibly drop low again taking double? Ive been physically giving it to him to make sure there are no missed doses. This happen to anyone else and did u find out what caused it to be low?
Is The Older Med Sodium Valproate Still Used For Epilepsy?

Does Anyone Have Experience Taking Depakote ER? If So How Did It Make You Feel?
I think they mis typed. I was on 1000 mg per day and it was said to be a "high dose." I'm off of it now and very happy to be.

Depakote Side Effects And Experiences?
My journey with seizures has taken a new turn, I was put on Depakote to manage migraines and seizures, particularly absence seizures. I was on it at age 17 to manage bipolar disorder but did not stay on it long back then. What has been your experience and is there side effects I should be aware of?
