I use this as a "calm down" if i have an uncontrollable absence for example, they give me a half so i close my eyes. With a heavy seizure that doesn't seems to stop Temesta is used.

Everyone in the group is on medication. It is most welcome at home. Outside of the home in an emergency situation, do you have medications available to take that will work for a short time to prevent a seizure before emergency help arrives? How do you take them?

Knowing what triggers are really help with coping with epilepsy. Surely I avoid them best I can... but think I'm still musing a lot of them.

What are some of yours?

I know persevatives, additives, excess caffeine and heavily vibegared food are the biggest for me.

I do have a citrus intolerance (mainly with lemon) that makes me dizzy and very sleepy.

Eggs seem to bother me but not allergic.

Anyone have any experience switching off carbatrol to lamictal? Did you have seizures? They want me off 200 mg a week. Off in 4 weeks and building up on lamictal now before cutting carbatrol.

I have been on it for almost 14 years and all my bloodwork has been fine. I haven't had a grand mal seizure since I started taking it.
