Lasik Surgery And VNS

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone with a VNS ever tried or had Lasik eye surgery?
I went to a consultation and was told I'm unable to have it. I guess the VNS acts as a pace maker.

I would ask your neurologist about it. It probably depends on how controlled you seizures are and if you are photosensitive. I can't think of a reason why the VNS would interfere with it.
