Migraines Suck

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’
Rockport, IN

Does anyone else experience migraines with blurred vision only on one side for days at a time. The blurred vision concerns me more than the headache because it is very unusual. I called my neurologist and he says it could be a migraine, could be a seizure, or it could be I need to have my eyes checked. And I can take anything OTC for a headache. I'm really not comfortable with this doctor. Can anyone shed some light? It will be greatly appreciated!

You are just experiencing Broca's Aphasia but mild because of how short it lasts. It might seem longer when its happening to you so just ask the person you are speaking to how long it lasted, but if… read more

Feeling Smothered

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’
Pittsboro, NC

I am glad to have a husband who is concerned about me, but last night I am out for my walk and part way through my husband comes out to check on me. I know this is part rant and part question, sorry. I just get tired of the constant hovering. Does anyone else feel this way?

They come on suddenly I cannot talk right ,my vision goes blurry , I try to ignore it, when more problems occur when I don’t recognize things. I let it ride. Ex. My friend called the Dr’s office for me . My phone blocked their message , they called my husband! Unblock the phone block unless you have #… read more

I Am Trying To Get My Husband To Maybe Join Something Similar To This But For Caregivers.

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’
MCCORMICK, SC

I want him to see what others go through caring for people with epilepsy. He is mad because I told him about what I wrote about him and how it helps to know you are not alone in the struggle in epilepsy. He won't even think about it. I am the one with the problem. Not him he says. My oldest son said I should be grateful. He said if I left my husband, I cannot stay at him. He would be me ina home right away. That hurts. I have been crying for a few days. My other son is a recovering alcoholic and… read more

Relationships And Epilepsy

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question đź’
Shanklin, UK

Does anyone who is single find it hard to find that special someone who understands you and what living with epilepsy is like.
It seems to me that as soon as you say epilepsy people run a mile.
Maybe it's me or the fact they don't understand it or scared?
