Randy She first has to be tested to determine more bout the seizures. Also to dispel or confirm her own thoughts of why.

Dawn Your new testing or sleep study will show Dr where or why having seizures. Will confirm if Chiari Malformation is the reason or not. Then Neurologist can either help you or refer you to one who specializes in your type of epilepsy. So please clear mind of what you think now may be. Relax rest assured Drs can diagnose and treat your seizures best.

Finding a specialist can be challenging, especially with insurance restrictions. The Epilepsy Foundation has resources to help locate an epilepsy specialist in your area. I would suggest contacting them to get recommendations for neurologists and neurosurgeons familiar with headaches and Chiari malformation near New Port Richey, FL. Having the right specialists who understand your conditions is important for getting proper treatment. As for the hospital stay to evaluate potential causes of seizures, be sure to keep detailed logs of symptoms, medication, triggers, etc. to provide the medical team. Bring any prior medical records, test results, and imaging to help inform their assessment. Having organized information about your history can optimize the consultation and may help lead to answers.
