Who And Why Do The Name Of Seizures Change?
My seizures were called Petit-Mal as a child. Later Partial , then Absence Seizures. I was recently told they are Partial Awareness Seizures.
I would like to know who does the naming as well.

Does Anybody Else Tend To Wake Up 4 Or 5 Hours Early Every Morning Following A Day You Had A Seizure And Not Be Able To Fall Back Asleep?
When I was a child there were a lot of mornings where I woke up at 4 or 5 o’clock and couldn’t fall back asleep. My mom noticed it was always the morning after I had a seizure. It got to where every morning I woke up early I’d tell my mom “I had a seizure yesterday didn’t I? The answer would always be yes.
I am actually the opposite, I sleep more than usual. I sleep shortly after the seizure and I sleep all through the night.

But aren't seizures unpredictable and can happen anywhere so I'm confused about this statement.
Initially no where when the sz were not common in my life! I have had them everywhere! Airport, school, dr’s office, crossing a street! Everywhere! I have been blessed with no serious injuries accept… read more
Has Anyone Found That Taking Medication Made By A Different Brand Has Had Different Side Affects Or Not As Effective?
I've been taking Leveteracetam for years however I've noticed when it's not Keppra I have different side affects and the medication doesn't work that well for me. I insisted that I have Keppra as I know how my brain and body feels different when the brand is any other. I've been told before that the ingredients are the same it's just different branding and packaging. And recently that Keppra is more expensive which for me says there is probably a difference in the ingredients.
That did happen to me. The company that was giving me my medication decided to save some money so they changed my medication to generic medication instead of brand name. Shortly after the generic… read more
Seizure Journal?
How do you record your seizures and symptoms I would like to start doing that so I can explain in detail what happens to me during a seizure I know videos help and I have that covered but I remember a previous neurologist asked me to describe to him what happens during your seizure and I couldn't really tell him much.
Is there a template or journal you can purchase to help with that?
