I have been on Depakote ER for some time. And just recently found out that the Depakote that I have been taking for my Epilepsy is what could be causing my hair loss. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine are on the left side where my seizures come from they say and I'm not sure what causes it. Just looking for help. Thank you.

I at one time was told I had grand mal, then went to petite mal now I'm told I have generalized primary seizures. I tend to not understand how this is possible and wonder could doctors misinformed me or is it actually possible for the diagnosis to continuously changed and why/how does this happen. what causes this?

No matter how epilepsy makes me feel and the ignorance of people 😏 I will always bounce back stronger then ever before. 💪 ✌👌 I had ignorance my whole life due to this unfortunate condition 🙈😢

The question I always ask myself is how I'm I any different to a cancer suffer?! They both the same, they both invisible and heartbrokening illnesses & they both very deadly.😬

Some people know exactly what will trigger their seizures. For example, some people have seizures which are triggered by strobe lights. Others are triggered by music. Others are triggered by additional stress (especially during high stress periods like certain holiday seasons or high stress events). Since I've moved to Australia I've been taking generic keppra and lamictal. I took the same medicine in the USA, but I'm feeling some intense side effects from the generic medicine here. My friend that's a pharmacist said it could be from fillers that are used in the medicine. I'd pay for the name brand but it's very expensive. And then the stress from the financial strain can cause a seizure. Anyway, could there be something in the medicine that I'm not aware of?

How does anyone who is a full time parent get by with epilepsy and the fear of having one by yourself with just your child. I have grand mal and partial seizures. I'm to scared to have another child because I'm scared I shouldn't be a mother because of my epilepsy. I've recently also had brain surgery. So I have had a lot of help since my son was born. I started having seizures at the age of 3. Grand Mal seizures. They always happened in the morning when I woke up. Had plenty of eegs and tried a lot of meds. Nothing totally worked until I was about 14 years old. My seizures stopped and I never had another one. I was married, had 3 kids, divorced and now I m almost 56 and have not had a seizure in years. Is an aura actually a seizure?

Can deja vu be a sign of an aura or having one?
