Most of my seizures happen in my sleep, and about 90% of the time I do wet myself. It can range from a tiny bit to a hole lot. I've tried normal period pads. And maxi pads. But, they always leak :(

During my stay in hospital they gave me adult diapers which was extremely embarrassing but 100% helpt! However because some nurses made fun of me for wearing them, I can never bring myself to buy them. I panic every time I see them in shops. Hi Everyone,

I've had JME epilepsy for 20 years. I was always on Epilim which kept me pretty well seizure free. A while back, my fiancé and I decided that we would change meds as recommended by my neurologist so that we can have a baby.

It wasn't as easy as first expected and I had a couple of seizures, trying to transfer over to Keppra. My neuro added Frisium which seems to have worked and I'm now over a year seizure free.

Idk about anyone else but not being able to drive because of epilepsy does cause difficulty in my life plus bring my confidence a little lower than it should.

Does anyone else find that their thought process gets jumbled as getting more and more tired

My question has to do with a seizure occurring. I was just wondering if anyone can feel when a seizure, mostly an absence seizure is about to take place? The reason for me asking is because whenever I have an absence seizure sometimes I may sense it about to happen but most of the time it just comes out of nowhere and when it does I'm lucky to have my wife or others around me. Does anyone ever forget to eat? I want to know if it's the epilepsy or me. Because I have had problems in the past with anorexia & bulimia. Especially after my son was murdered. I was smaller than our neighbors daughter. She was 11 years old!! : ( But that was before I had epilepsy. Since I've had it, I just forget to eat! I never get hungry. Sometimes I experience depression and mood swings. I have been diagnosed also with a mood disorder and I'm curious as to whether it could be related to the epilepsy. Does anyone else experience this?

There is so much that the general, unaffected public does not care about or understand regarding Epilepsy. What would be your top priority to educate them on?
