Has Anyone Had Or Has Their Child Had A Frontal Lobe Resection Surgery? If So, How Did It Work Out?

I too did the Left Temporal Lobe surgery. No experience with Frontal Lobe surgery. It helped reduce my seizure frequency from severe to mild and moderate seizures.

Mine were called Absence, now Partial Awareness. Where I live there is no Liability Insurance, so they call 911. I would not trust anyone to administer anything. I now wear a Lifeline button. I had a fall because I had not eaten due to a tooth being pulled, and was in the ER.

My doctor and team have decided the best next step for me would to have a intracranial grid electrode implantation eeg. Has anyone had the same procedure done? I have yet to decide on when I want to do this since I am pretty nervous. any advice would be appreciated

Epilepsy Surgery?

Has anyone ever had left temporal lobe resective surgery? Has it been positive or negative? Do you have side effects? Would you recommend it? A new neurologist at Mayo Clinic has told me that’s my best, obvious option (I’m drug resistant, and my VNS has become less and less effective over its 6 years with me!).
Give me your thoughts, please… brain surgery is SCARY.
