How To Answer That Question
Does anyone else always get asked "Are you feeling better now?" in the days after an attack?
I never know how to answer it, the truth is my attacks are so random that I'm often feeling exactly the same and thinking about this makes me worry more
Normally I answer, "yeah fine", but I just think people should think it through more. If you saw someone in a wheelchair, would you ask "are your legs feeling better?"
Just frustrates me

I Don't Feel Like I'm The Clever Person I Used To Be. Please Can Anybody Give Me Any Advice? Has Anybody Else Experienced This?
Back when I was in school, I was quite clever, I didn't have a problem with big words, I used to remember topics easily and soaked up information like a sponge. Now, I feel stupid. For example, my boyfriend is very knowledgeable (a bit of a know it all ;)), he's always explaining things to me and teaching me abut new, interesting things, but straight after I completely forget all the detail :( and no matter how many times he explains it to me I just can't relay it back to him or anybody else. It… read more

Has Anyone Had A Scan Which Showed A Small Left Frontal Lobe?
I was looking over some very old medical records that I havent accessed before and seen that 1 of my eariest scans showed a smaller left frontal lobe. Nearly 30 years later this morning Ive had a lightbulb moment in regards to many symptoms like speech, handwriting skills, balance and some behaviours or the way I communicate that neuro-typical people may deem to be inappropriate or odd
Remarkable that I was never really aware of this before today! Always learning something new about myself is… read more

How Many Seizures Have U Had In Ur Life? I Have Had 16 Seizures. My First One Was Back In 1994.
When I have a seizure I never know when there going to happen. I go stiff and shake. My family is always there for me overtime I've had one.
Let me think. I usually have 2 seizures per month. So that would make 24 seizures per year. I’ve had seizures for 32 years so that would make about 768 seizures 🤷🏼♂️
Anyone Remember The Old Days When An EEG Was Performed Using Needles?
So far I've seen three different approaches to an EEG. Nowadays they glue them to your head. About 30 years ago I had a nurse rub my head raw with what felt like sandpaper and then glue it. But back in the early days of epilepsy, they had a dozen needles they stuck in your head. I remember it felt like they grabbed about 4-5 strands of hair and pulled them. It never hurt pulling them out. Sorry if you didn't care to hear this kind of stuff but I just can't forget it.
Yes, i remember the needles very well. The pain, the fearfulness because i was 12 at the time. It was scary.
This Isn't Really A Question Then More Of A Statement
I'm the kind of person who grew up in a working class family, and as children we were taught how to fend for ourselves, I don't mean to sound like I'm better than anyone else here, I joined this group to get and give support where I could... I'm not here to make anyone feel bad, but I do speak my peace without remorse and sometimes with a lack of sensitivity for that I do apologize...😉
I hear what your saying, and not real worried about offending someone it's going to happen whether we want to or not, I just try not to do it overtly
Is Your Primary Doctor Your Best Friend?
I have a close friendship with my primary.
Honestly my first response was to a different question. Sorry about that strangeness.
