I was 5 years old when i got my first grand mal seizure,t 62 still same thing.S a teenager started to smoke,they relaxed me.As a kid always so worried about etting a seizure in front of everyone.Typjcal smoker got hooked. when doctor told me copd first reaction was whats that. Does any one also strugle with memory loss or strugle to remember stuff? Petty stuff? Like dates or what you did last weekend? Or did you remember to take out the meat to defrost for dinner. Not major happening like milestones those I remember.

Just wanted to know if its just me.

How can let ppl now THIS?

Do any of you have difficulty thinking of certain words sometimes. It's as if they're 'on the tip of your tongue'. Then a couple of minutes later you think of it/them

Has anyone experienced this? If I eat milk chocolate it makes my seizures worse than eating dark chocolate. For health reasons I should cut down on both and eat more fruit but you know how it is when you have a sweet tooth!

Does anyone feel like their heart is pounding out of their chest, like a panic attack before and then even more so after a seizure? I have complex partial seizures.

This maybe a silly and inappropriate question to ask.But, does seizures affect sex? Probably not in most cases as I know epileptic people with children. However can it just affect sex in general?

I firmly believe that there's not much awarness for epilepsy. I'll explain my reasons for my statement.

Don't get me wrong. We can't expect anyone to be an expert of all disabilities, illnesses, diseases, behavioural problems ect. However it wouldn't hurt people to be a little more educated. It could pay off! And maybe help save someone's life of witnessing an attack!
