I Would Like To Ask Who Has A Dog 🐶 That Is Adherent To Them When They Have Their Epilepsy Symptoms ?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Western Australia

My doctor suggested I get a dog to keep me company since I’m home alone most of the time , I walk him twice a day and he sticks to me like glue especially when I’m in seizure mode he will sit and stay on my lap on the couch and won’t let me leave the couch . So I understand now when he sticks to me oddly he understands me better than anyone else

Generic V Brand Keppra (levetiracetam)

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Brisbane, AU

Are there any major differences between the Generic and Brand Keppra? I was put on Keppra just over a month ago and I have a feeling I'm meant to be on generic. When I first got my script filled the pharmacist gave me the generic version and because I've always had the brand versions of everything else I've been, I'm not sure whether the Neuro does want me on the generic or not but it's just the way the script is worded.

If it does turn out to be the case though and I am meant to be the… read more

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member yep pretty much, because the generic is made so different to the brand one it does work slightly differently. For most people it won't work as well but you do get the odd… read more

Osteoarthritis

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Carmarthen, UK

Hi 👋 I'm Eve , I'm 52 and I've just been diagnosed with an x-ray with Osteoarthritis. I was always careful with bone density scans on Tegretol . I've developed toxicity in around 2016. I changed my meds to Keppra and didn't get on well with the Anxiety so changed again to Epilim and Lamotrigine. It was roughly 6 months into that that I developed joint pain. I was told it was normal wear and tear and my blood test for inflammation had come back clear. I insisted on further investigation on my… read more
