Did Divalproex Sodium Change Anyone Else's Menstrual Cycle?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
St. John's, NL

I started Divalproex Sodium March 11, 2024. It delayed my menstrual cycle until April 6, 2024 and lasted until April 11, 2024. I randomly started my period again on April 26, 2024, making it less than one month since I had my period - this is the first time I had my period twice in one month.

Has this happened to anyone else while on Divalproex Sodium? Did you have this happen numerous times while on it?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Panama City Beach, FL

My son is taking double the normal dose of depakote since Feb. 29 and normal dose of lamactal. His lab came back in the 40s! I was expecting it to be at the toxic level! He is having severe shakiness, moodiness, fatigue, and sleeping alot. But how could it possibly drop low again taking double? Ive been physically giving it to him to make sure there are no missed doses. This happen to anyone else and did u find out what caused it to be low?

Has Anyone Had A Seizure Last Two Days?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
St. John's, NL

Yesterday I had an intense Simple-Partial Seizure, where I smelled raw sewage and turned red in the face. Today, I feel like crying but don't know why. The only explanation I can think of is that the forced exposure I had to a Simple-Partial Seizure yesterday (my trigger is medical things; I had a medical appointment) is causing me to have Complex-Partial Seizures today - my Complex-Partial Seizures usually involve an overwhelming sense of fear and being unable to speak or move when it happens… read more

I used to have these seizures where I would laugh uncontrollably and eventually I would start to cry . Luckily I don't really have them anymore. They were one of the worst I've had .
